Hello all the org.
I want to tell all the org members, Thank you so much for your comments, understanding and prayers that you have given me after my get off Saturday.
I would love to be able to thank each one of you personally, and when we meet, I will do just that.
A special shout out to Scar and Jim, who have been in contact with me, and are helping me through the first stage of getting the bike back. Thanks Scar for listening and staying on the line until I lost reception, and for keeping me up to date on everything.
Here is as much info as I can glean from my incident and not get too wordy.
The Good:
1) The love and support of family and friends is truly a beautiful thing. Without this support system in place, I am sure I would not be in a happy place right now.
2) I sustained minimal damage to body due to ATGATT. Lesson to pass on to all.
3) Lessons learned about even the most familiar turn and what I can do to avoid this again.
4) The importance of having an emergency phone on you when you ride (I used to not carry a phone and have forgotten to bring one on several occasions – big No No).
5) Broke my humorous bone, but was able to field dress it quickly as you can see.
The Bad:
1) My gear is damaged and will need to be replaced before I even get DOT fixed; I am now on the Bandit in the interim.
2) I have a bruise on the right shoulder with the words JOE ROCKET embossed backwards in the skin.
3) A 2” diameter strawberry on the left knee, which matches my nose perfectly.
4) Multiple soreness on entire right side and soreness in a few ribs and middle back.
5) The ring finger of the left hand is scraped and hurts.
6) A severely damaged ego and I lost much of my confidence fluid, which will all have to be replaced.
The Ugly:
1) DOT has taken the brunt of the damage and I am praying there is no internal damage that may cause the ins company to scrap her.
2) My helmet that was recently custom painted, also suffered damage.
3) I will not be in the saddle and on the twisties until I can get all the above back in place.
Again, I want to thank everyone here for the love and support you have given me.
I will keep you updated as often as I can. I am working hard to get my home computer back on line ASAP.
I miss the org. so very much,
Thank you,
Bubba
