....the little gif in your sig looks like some serious police brutality.

Nah, not police brutality. An appropriate use of force against a non-compliant subject who wouldn't follow verbal commands.

As I recall he was being a problem at some business in Las Vegas. The guy was drunk and disorderly prior to the officer arriving. The officer directed him to remove his hands from his pockets and step to the car several times, he failed to comply, leaving the officer no option but to up the level of force.

Hands that can't be seen are a risk for officers.

Lesson learned, do what the officer says. If the officer is wrong, make a complaint later. Being resistive or non-compliant at the time is not a good idea and won't go well for you.

That takedown was one of the best I have ever seen....

For Rothman,

On edit, you can see in the video of the call, the officer was dispatched there for two guys fighting, the guy in video is one of them. He refuses to take his hand out of his pocket, and went so far at to put his right hand in his pocket after the officer mentions it is making him nervous his left hand is in his pocket.

Makes a lot more sense when you get the rest of the story. It's just hard to see from the gif. In the gif it just looks like some guy standing there talking to the cops and then BAM! Throat chop take-down outta nowhere for seemingly no apparent reason. I meant no offense with my previous comment, I just call it like I see it.

+1 on that- kinda makes you wonder how much we dont know or see and still try to think we know whats goin on...
i was in agreement- looked like a solid case of P.B.- but after the whole story- good job by the officer!:thumbsup:dummy shoulda listened and done like he was told...immediately! and the timing of him puttin his other hand in the pocket- hell he mighta been goin for a knife or somethin- i'd flip on him quick too!:rulez:

Great video!

I have a great respect for officers of the law... They have one of the hardest jobs, are hated because they do it, but are expected to perform it above and beyond when they are needed..

People are so ready to throw them to the flames for doing their job, and then ask them where were they when they needed them...

They are the same people who at one instant can be chasing you and threatening your life for breaking the law, and in a split second, be the ones who are there first trying to save your life because you made a stupid mistake and crashed out or got shot while breaking the law...

Very few other professions are required to straddle such extremes with absolute integrity, while being recorded and scrutinized by the public...

They are almost always out gunned and under equipped compared to the criminals, yet they go to work every day, trying to protect our asses day to day....

Only to face crap from the very people they try to protect...

The only thing wrong with the vid is that it isn't the biggest gang in the world. My old gang is the largest and they have tanks and stuff.
Good vid though, fun to watch.

The dogs and the taser can so be intimidating...thanks for posting it.

Cop in yellow shirt is like....' hey man.........why don't you....just...' and then a hi yah Hong Kong Fooey throat grab with a slam to the very soft pavement!
Why do I get the feeling the guy started behaving and saying sorry all of the sudden

Video right after it didn't fair so well for the officer. Gun drawn on perp and then it goes off camera with him getting a beatdown it seems?
