Sorry for the novel but I have always been a bit wordy lol. I have always wanted a Hayabusa, ever since I was in high school and first saw one. A guy in my shop class rolled in one day on a brand new grey 2001 first gen and of course he got the Japanese tatto to match the graphic lol. His was bought by his parents while I had been working or a solid year to save up for a bike. I put a nice down payment on a new but left over from last year orange 00 Honda CBR600F4. I had the time of my life as a 17 year old on a new rocket (one suspension for doing wheelies on school grounds, lots of pussy, lots of adrenaline highs, too many times I nearly killed myself being young and stupid but I never wiped or dropped it.) I have previous experience as a dirtbike rider since I was 7, including a few years in the local motocross circuit on my cr85R and riding bigger moto's after that including a yz250 I had big bored and jetted to be a monster that still scares the piss out of anyone getting on it. I rode that CBR600 for my last two years of high school and sold it right after grad before I got married. I am now a 33 year old professional carpenter and its been almost 15 years since I sold it but I have kept on owning moto's and have ridden a variety of street bikes when I could borrow one including a 450hp turbo busa at the strip one day but have never owned another. I went into a few dealerships yesterday to look around and sitting on a new leftover from last year '15 Busa I fell in love again. I considered naked bikes like a Ducati Monster 1200R, or a KTM Super Duke R but something about a Hayabusa has me hooked. I have always been an adrenaline junkie but since growing up and now that I have a pregnant wife and 5 boys I have not been crazy like I was in my youth. I get my adrenaline fix drag racing on a 1/4 mile strip. I currently own a 2006 Chrysler 300C SRT8 that I have highly modified with an Arrington 440 stroker that makes 550 RWHP but with a 250hp shot of nitrous I have made a best of 778 RWHP and run a 9.70 1/4 mile time while lifting the front wheels almost 2" off of the ground on a full interior 4500lb car. My wife is not a fan of street bikes but has never actually ridden one or had a ride on one because she has refused on the few opportunities I have had since we have been together. She does enjoy her RM125 when we ride moto's as a family but its not that fast on the trails we ride with our kids. I really want to buy that busa and get her excited in joining me on weekend cruises and someday going on longer rides. I live in Manitoba but my wife has a sister who lives in Vancouver which is just over 2300km or 1500miles from us and I would love to take a yearly road trip over there. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions for me?
