I am looking at buying new fairings for the bike and was wondering if anyone had a preference? Plastic or Fiberglass? Pros vs Cons....... I am not finding alot of info on the internet as to compare the two. Help me please!

fiberglass is lighter... thats gotta be a plus. a con.. now u gotta paint it (unless u wanna rock the primer grey/white)

I have never had any luck with the fiberglass fairings. For me there is too much trimming and sanding down of the fiberglass to make it all line up correctly. I just helped a friend of mine with his wrecked 600 RR and he sold the fiberglass after messing with them for about a week and bought a set of OEM. Just my 2 cents

(Revolution @ Jul. 13 2007,23:44) fiberglass cracks easier than plastic...
+1

After painting if you flex the fiberglass too much you can get little spiderweb cracks easy. Go with abs if you want a nice look, Go with glass if it's a track bike and you want to lose a little weight.

The plastic has better flex and moldability
