This fender eliminator...

...is one alternative to the one from Yoshimura (070BG112110):

The price at Web!ke Japan dropped recently to $107.83 USD (inc. 5% discount) which now matches the Yosh price:

Note: there is an optional reflector available to replace the factory one for side of road safety etc.

I wouldn't have thought any Aussies would have ever heard of the Femmes. That's cool ottafish! Saw them live a few times in my old stomping grounds of Milwaukee.

I hope you know this will go down on your permanent record...
Funnily enough, that 1 song was quite big here. When I was working in the clubs, it was a popular one that everyone got all crazy too .. .

I remember when the Violent Femmes came on the music scene.

Now back to the thread, I still like the Yosh, but $100 bucks for a license plate frame ?.

I like the hugger. Where does that come from ?.

Any new updates on the fender Elim for the 22? I want to try one from Amazon and add a sequential led brake turn bar to the bottom, for extra light...

I purchased the Yoshimura kit. Pretty pricey for a bracket, license plate frame, LED light, and 4 bolts with washers and nuts. But, it looks great, and I love the Yoshimura quality. Very easy installation. And since I live less than an hour from Chino, the parts arrived 2 days after ordering. That's a nice thing, too. Here's a photo.

I wanted to reuse the factory plate late so I wouldn’t have to do any wiring. The only plate holder I found to do that specifically for the gen 3 was from t-Rex at a cost of $69.95. I wasn’t paying that for a sheet of metal. Turns out you can just do a more general search on Amazon and find other suk eliminators that have a similar cutout for the oem plate light. I found one for a sv650 on sale for 1/3 the price. All I had to do was add new holes for the bolt placement on the busa. The plate light mount cutout isn’t a perfect match, but it’s very close, not noticeable and worked without issue.

@PaiDues very nice! :thumbsup:

Mind posting pictures at night close and far with the plate light on please?
I should have used something diff than fabric to cover the plate so it would reflect the light better. The length in my garage is about 18ft. Too cold this morning to spin the bike around and try to get more than that with the door open.

Thanks for posting the $ savings for the fender eliminator PaiDues.
Its nice to see easy hacks that work, look good AND save you some hard earned $.
Accessories/Mods are so expensive.
I’m always trying to think outside of the box if it benefits me. Can easily drill another hole to run the wiring directly up and through the bracket and into the tail opening. Can also remove unnecessary metal to really clean up the look which I’ll like do this winter.

Mods are extremely expensive for this expensive bike; at least for me anyway. Heated grips are $450. I’d prefer to have heated grips than wear thicker gloves. It was only 55 degrees a few morning ago and my hands were freezing in leather gloves.

I have had heated grips on several bikes but they are not as good as heated glove liners IMO. Love my liners. Can use my normal leather gloves and liners. Grips only heat the palm and if you move a hand off, takes a few seconds to get the heat back. Personal preference.
I agree that mods for any bike are expensive these days.

I think you may be on to something lol. I wasn’t aware of heated glove liners I’ll def be looking into it. Thanks
