Addicting things in my office

Well, I recently got some of the most fun and addicting toys for the office. They are called Bucky Balls. Basically, they are these tiny ball magnets (216), that you can combine to make into some pretty nifty shapes. It can also get pretty competitive when other people in the office have them as well. Here are some of the things I have created.

Anyone else ever heard or played with these things? Very addicting. My productivity has totally dropped since getting them :banghead::lol:

Never heard of it but, I'm just glad I don't work in an office environment because I'd probably be messing with those things all day  Those are pretty neat things you've made

Thanks. I'm starting to run out of ideas on stuff to try to create. One of the guys here made all of the Tetris Pieces. Sounds like an easy thing, but since they are magnetics, if you don't put them together exactly right, you screw everything up and have to start over again...

Hmmmm...Bucky Balls....Perhaps named after Richard Buckminster Fuller?
I think that I recall reading something about these back in the day in some scientific journal....(yes, I was a total geek, now I'm only partly a geek...I changed majors from Chemistry to Accounting, got the degree, and the job!)
Actually, I think that I was reading about Buckminsterfullerenes and they called them Bucky Balls and I'm pretty sure that it had something to do with Carbon Nanotubes...but I could be wrong...it's been ummm....almost 20 years ago.
