my question is i never owned a bike and only rode a few 600's here and there and im 6'5 and 280 pounds, i think the hayabusa is the only bike im not towering over but do u believe ill be able to control the speed on local and highway roads?

thank you and sorry for another repetitive topic

...........by using the word "respect" in your initial statement, you know what the concept is, so therefore....yes! buy one. You'll love it.

It was my first bike after 30 years without. It's just about got me broke in after a year.

Take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course, if you haven't already.

The bike is not dangerous...it is what it is capable of doing. You MUST have respect for it.

to the Site, and yeah, you can handle it, but I would reccomend getting a used smaller (750 because of your weight) and learn to ride on that. Get one that if (or when) you drop it , it'll be OK with you. Then after you get use to  riding on the street and just riding in general, buy the Busa. My .02 cents, and "OH YEAH" stay on this site !

Be responsible, and you will be fine. I have always had fast bikes. But the Busa was a big suprise. Just don't get carried away & let it bite you in the end.

Careful, I'm not satisfied that's the real 06Busa

The Busa can be "relatively" tame when you want it to be. It is not the uncontrollable rocket sometimes alluded to, unless you put it in that mode with a right wrist adrenaline fit, Get one and take it easy to begin with and you should be good to go. R-E-S-P-E-C-T

It's my first bike at 5'8" and 165 lbs, I think you can handle it!

It's all in the wrist...

These bikes are incredible machines. But like others have said, you have to respect it, and its all in the wrist! All the other bikes I have owned in the past do compare at all to this one.

She demands respect and self control. As long as you have plenty of both and ride within YOUR limits all will be well. Get the big head and lose the respect and self control and she will show you who is really in control and bite your azz!!!

Ride safe and have fun!
