Aero numbers: Gen 1 vs. Gen 2

So much hype was made about how many hours Suzuki spent in the windtunnel before they released the 1999 Busa to make it the fastest of the fast by tweaking every detail to the limit.

Does anyone know how the two bikes stack up against each other in the windtunnel?

I would think it's a bit better...they tweaked the body lines on the nose and removed the screws that attached the side fairings to the nose. The overall frontal area did not change in size.

That must be why the Gen2 fairings are such a pain to get off now lol

Yeah, I think they vacuum packed the fairings to the frame~!~

Has Suzuki ever released the Coefficient of Drag (Cd) figures for either GenI or GenII? that would give you an idea of the improvement made.
