I also own an aerostich one piece suit,it takes a month of riding or so to break in once this happens you wont have a problem. it will fit like a glove.

but... remember
wearing that suit shouldn't give you the impetus to ride faster
it's great safety suit
(NOT the same as leather, but more "wearable")
but...
if you fall, you're still going to get hurt

i knew you knew that
but i just wanted to mention it

Funny you should ask. My Aerostitch Darien suit arrived last night. I noticed the same thing about the pants. The material is stiff too. The instructions say that the stiffness will work out in time. I bought it mostly on advice from here. No doubt it was good advice. The suit is well made, good stuff. The armor looks like it might actually work and I don't have to carry around a rain suit anymore. I agree that no suit is a substitute for alertness.

I've recently received my full Aerostich suit -- this is the first time I've owned one. I sure like the feeling of safety (I popped for the hip and spine pads too) when winding out my 'busa.

My question is, for any of you who might have one of these -- what with the visco-elastic knee padding (and it's there for a good reason), I'm finding that my knees are pushed out so far from the tank that it's really rather uncomfortable to have to reach _in_ to hit the shifter and the rear brake pedal -- my knees don' bend that way. I suppose I could trim the inside edges of the knee pads off, but that seems counterproductive, given that I bought the suit to protect my extremities.

Any other ideas?

Short of taking a sledgehammer to the tank to make the knee recesses deeper, of course. ;^)

i wear an agv two piece..plan to buy something else this winter. it's made of some kind of cowhide, any i take all the supports out and it makes it feel alot better. also i went down at the dragstrip earlier this year going a 120mph sliding on the pavement and had no serious problems. just a small hole burned through the left forearm giving me a little bit of road rash...i was probably more lucky than anything but i still won't put the supports in...
