Aftermarket Bodywork

I just tried to get home from work before a bad storm hit. I didn't make it. I got blown off the left side of the road even though I leaned as hard as I could to the right (The rain hadn't started yet). I was actually less than 1/2 a mile form home, so I came pretty damn close to making it. Anyway, the bike got damaged on both sides. I was making a list of what is needed for repairs, and I was wondering if I should just replace the bodywork with aftermarket. Have any of you done this? How hard was it to get the headlights and turn signals installed?

firstly, glad you're OK but bummer on the damage to the bike. from reading around, the fitment of the aftermarket plastics is NOT good (does not line up well, holes do not match or no holes period).

the headlights and turn signals shouldn't be too hard. download a copy of the Gen II serbice manual for reference.
