Okay, I truly don't have a clue what the pecking order is for chains. I am most likely going to change to a 42 tooth sprocket and will get a new chain as well. So, I turn to you all (my big Busa family) for help. What would be the best chain to get?

hmm, I shoulda asked a similar question a few weeks ago....had to put a new chain on and just went back to the stock type/length. My dealer had one in stock for $100 so I just got it and had it put on. It seemed to do ok for the first 8k miles, so hopefully the new one lasts that long

Is tensile strength the only factor in the consideration of chains?

Found this article on motorcycle chains <a href="http://www.quality-cycle.com/truth_about_motorcycle_chains.htm">The Truth about Motorcycle Chains<a>. Anyone know of others?

Thought so too! Hoping some of the other gurus around here can shed some more light on it.

I personally like the D.I.D. premium x-ring chain. From all the info that I gathered, the x-ring chain has a few advantages over the o-ring chains. So for me, it's the D.I.D. And if I remember correctly, the D.I.D. comes pre-stretched from the factory. So far, I likeeee!

I have seen a lot kicked around about the DID and EK chains. Guess I am just really concerned about whether tensile strength is the only factor to consider. That article talks pretty well about X-ring chains, but I don't know enough about them to know the big differences in the brands.
