yes it is billet, perfect for lowering! I have only ridden my bike a couple times with it on because of the weather. I lowered my bike around 3 1/2 inches in the rear and around 1/2 in the front...if you go as low as me or lower, dont forget the lowered kickstand...I love the looks with it lowered, now I need to save up for a swingarm and go 4 inches out..good luck man!

the one you have on your busa looks like pmr ,

just to let you know the gen 2 fork tubes taper down under the bottom triple clamp, so you can only lowe it about 3/4 of an inch befor the tube gets to small to contact the clamp!

YSI,
u might whant to look at your forks, they are a bit to far up and your bottom bolts are not pinching the tubes at all, trust me i have the sameone and the only (safely) way is to have the top of the tubes flush with the top tripple in case you pop the one wheel dance and come down a bit hard, you can have a potentially very bad day.. if i had know that from the beggining i wold have chosen the RSD top tripple....

Man I dig the SpencerCycle one too. I was iffy on it on the site, but seeing it installed makes all the difference!

So on the Gen2, you can only go 3/4" drop with a triple? Straps is the only alternative to get lower cause 3/4" won't cut it for me. :(

Ok I will look into that thanks bro..

yea i did the same thing lowered it 1.25 front and 1.5 back

then got to reading and looked and only one of the two lower pinch bolts on the lower triple was realy doing anything so i sold the parts and brought it back up , now i have straps for when or if i do any drags or strait raceing , and soupys adjustable lower links

i like it low and 3/4 dont do it for me eather

Man, I really don't want to strap the new bike... But guess I have no choice if I wanna go low.

Is a new triple required to strap it or can I use stock triple if I preferred? Any horrible ride difference, never rode strapped before

yea that one is roland sands , it has the little stops on the top for the forks , so you dont go to low !

any how the straps are for drags only , you can not ride on the street with the straps on , you get no movement for slow tursn !

realy 3/4 is it !

sorry ! suzuki screwed us on this one !

I like the RSD triple clamp. When you cut the forks to lower it, could there be any issues with doing this?

No lie Suzuki really screwed us on this one! WTF, they didn't look at any magazines? It's pretty common to lower a Gen1! Oh well, it is what it is...

Who would you recommend to cut the forks down, I'll get the triple I like best and have to go that route...though have a feeling it won't be cheap.
