Ahh, the Relief

I just have to say that this first week back after being in Roseville (near Sacramento) for three weeks has been nice.

Three weeks without two-wheeled transportation was rough, rough, rough. But! Now that I'm back, I'm using up the Shell gas cards quickly on the 1.70/gal Premium gas (it was almost 2 dollars a gallon up north!!) Cisco San Jose, hope the prices come down for you up there bud.

I wish I'd taken the 'busa up there with me. There are beautiful rolling hills with great roads just east of Sacramento, near Sonora. I highly recommend some sightseeing through that area if you ever get the chance. Unfortunately, I only got to soak it all up in a rental car. You probably know the story . . . Hey, this corner would be great if . . . ahh, but that one is even better, with S-curves even!!

I'll have to get out this weekend and pretend the local Hwy 76 is in the same league.

Hats off!

Dingo,ya you missed one of the best riding areas around, just have to watch out for some of the locals coming out from their driveway.
Quite a few of my friends are leaving the bay area and moving up to Sac area due to cheaper housing and more jobs open for electronic type people, network engineer,NT administrators, etc.Anyways maybe next time you'll be able to hookup with some riders and head out to Sac or maybe Lake Tahoe.I know Sac area and Roseville since my wife had to stay in the hospital there,Trauma Center when she got involve in a motorcycle accident on our way to Streets Vibrations in Reno. Some jerk in a Snow plow truck was in the fast lane and would not move over for three cars behind him and two bikes,"my wife and I" any ways we all moved over in the slow lane and passed the guy who started to speed up his truck and as we where coming around a blind curve a semi-truck was doing 5mph trying to climb that hill near DutchMan Camp,or Dutch Pass, three cars and I made it,but my wife got blocked in by the stupid driver of the snow plow the Harley slide between both trucks with out her on it and I thought she was under the wheels of the Semi, anyways turned my Harley around and came back down on the freeway and saw my wife sliding between both trucks, skinned up good. She had to stay in Roseville Trauma Center for two days, they were pulling out the dirt and other stuff from her elbow, and both hands. She had on one of those nose picker type gloves which I told her not to wear and we both took off our leather jackets in Sac since it was 90+,bad move on our part.Anyways next time you get up there bring your bike there's lots to see in Sac,old town, the fish hatchery, the Airbase,Tahoe.Hey every year there's a motorcycle gathering in Reno called streets Vibrations happens Sept.23-26 time frame, they close off the streets and only motorcycles can park on the streets near all the casinos, plus they give away a brand new Harley Fatboy"raffle" every year. We're going up this year, but my wife said she's driving her truck.Anyways maybe some day we'll hookup in the Bay Area and I can show you around on Bikes.

Ugh, sorrry to hear about the accident, but glad she made it out alive. Definitely was a size disparity between her and the two other vehicles.

I am not sure if my wife will ever take up riding motorcycles, but she is about to become a passenger on the 'busa, once her helmet comes in. There's nothing like a passenger to cause a driver to become the epitomy of caution. I'd hate to lose her to anything.

A Bay Area tour sounds like a blast. I saw a little of it in the car this past trip. There are definitely some feisty drivers up there.
