air box mods

the airbox is just fine the way it is. just make sure your airfilter is in good shape and replace as soon as it needs it.

Get a BMC race filter and dont overoil it.I noticed better response with mine and the airbox mod.I have a gen1 though.

I have a Gen2 and my airbox mod was removing the air filter. I haven't used a filter in 2yrs. I removed it @ 2k miles and since then I've put over 25k miles on her with not 1 issue.

what is the benefit running with no filter at all? sounds like an unnecessary risk, maybe a small risk, but unnecessary. maybe this is what the really cool kids are doing these days.

After seeing the pieces of gravel, bugs and all the dirt in my filter I changed at 12,000 miles, I would never consider running without a filter. But if you want to ruin your motor go ahead.:banghead:

When you sell your bike be sure to tell the buyer the motor is probably junk since it had 25K miles without an air filter.

On the street nothing is to be gained by no air filter except a junk motor.
