Just got my air filters in from Yosh. A company out of Italy makes them for Yosh. The part number is BMC-1064 they cost $70. I'll let you know what kind of difference it makes.

Yngve, have you been sucking Blackbirds through your intake again? Check your packing in your pipe, I have heard that the Honda stickers can plug the baffle. Youmight want to stick with the street BMC. Have you seen an Hayabusa Akrapovic in Norway yet?

I got one too. No they are not k&N but made in Italy by a company named BMC. They also make airfilters for several F1 teams like Ferarri ( Forza Italia ). They look just like K&N`s and are made in two different versions, one for street and one for racing. The street one is just like K&N and the race one is...well made for racing. ( It is almost nothing more than a few steel wires that might stop the biggest birds that comes along

Do they actually have the race version of this filter yet?...or is on busa backorder...as usual. Got the part#`s to the race filter? Thanks!

More info on air filters..
Stopped at factory pro tuning yesterday on my way home, they have been working on some busa’s.
they where showing me some new air filters out of Europe, called BMC at about $89.95..

Today they will be testing one on a busa on the dyno ?? They will let me know later to day..
They also told me that the back fire was from the smog pump, they have been removing
them from the bikes as they dyno tune them, they also have been remapping the box’s.

Mrayabusa what were they useing to adjust the map with PCII or Yosh, what brand pipes are they working with. Any with mod airboxes?

Their dyno machine can remap all including stock ?? I think the program came from Yosh.. ( I may have this wrong ) But they have remapped Yosh & stock Boxe's...
Pipes the last was a full Yosh 4-1 with a box.. the one for today is a Akrapovic 4-1.
All I have are 2Bros. cans..

KawaBuser: There are NO Blackbirds where I live ( a small town faar up North in Norway, only 18000 people lives here ) But 8 Hayabusas, ( Yeah 8 Busas, Must be the must busas per people in the whole world ).
As for horsepower with aftermarked airfilter I dont think U will see any horsepower gains because of the restrictive airbox and exaust.

i saw 2hp difference on the air filter.

Turbo1300, I have a Yosh RS3 with the BMC airfiter. The biggest performance gain I got from the service bulletins 108 and 109 from Suzuki. The bike was being starved for fuel by dirty filters. (no airbox mod yet)
What pipe are you running, and any other mods?

At that time all i had on there was a Yosh tit. pipe and had the yosh box set at +10 low +5 mid and +5 high. now i am using the Akrapovic system which has a little better quality then the yosh believe it or not and i have made a lot of other changes and i just saw 202.5 hp and i still have a ways to go on dialing it in. and i am using the pc2 to smooth out the bottom range.
