I am wanting to purchace an air shifter, but I would like some advise first on the best kits. I have also heard of bikes set up to shift automatically when it hits the rev limiter... How is this done, and what all will I need for this kind of install?

this is the air shifter kit i have on my busa.

and about the automatic shift for the air shifer

me personley i don't use the auto shift box, cause when you are racing & your rear tire broke loose, your RPM will jump really quick & when you hit the rev limit your trans will shift, & thats something you don't want to do while you are racing, but for riding on the streets it works really good.

An air shifter is basically a neumatic ram, air bottle and a switch. You mount the ram on your shift lever and connect it to the air bottle via air line. The switch is then mounted on your handlebars and wired in. Push the button and you shift gears.

I also would stay away from the automatic one and go for a shift light that you can set to a predetermined rpm that reminds you to push the button on time for racing applications.
