Akaapovic

I have checked out the various exhausts. Asked alot of questions, done searches, and was just about decided on the HMF Big Bird. However, since I am actually going to have the money for once in my life, I am now leaning toward the Akaapovic. I called called Star Cycle, (I found their add in Motorcyclest) and they quoted me a price of $1495 for the Akaapovic, and $270 for the newest PC3. Plus, I get a free map. Star Cycle also said they would beat any one elses price. Does this sound like a good deal. Does any one have any experience dealing with Star Cycle. Apparently there are 2 Akaapovic systems. One with titanium heads, and one without. The price he quoted me was for the one with titamium heads.

I have heard good things about the Akaapovic, but that it was pricey. Can anyone give me some personal experince information about the Akaapovic. I have a month or so before I will have the cash to buy it. So, I really want to think this through and make sure that I am going to be happy with my final choice. Thanks in adavance for any comments or advice you may be able to provide.

I've purchased from them before, but never an exhaust. My transaction with them went without a hitch, so I would purchase from them again. But once again that could have been just me. But if they were "foul" Cycleworld, Motorcyclist, and a number of other mags probably would have dumped them...right

TRY http://www.hardracing.com they have good deals on Akrapovics and will negotiate prices. Currently they are offering a free PC3USB with a Akropovic. BTW, its a great pipe. look down at the sig

starcycle..i bought pc3r and full sysytem and many other stuff from them b4 without a problem. as far as price comparing, i didnt have much time to do research. but their service and shipping is pretty good.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll also check out hard racing. Sounds like they may have a good deal with the with the PC3USB included.

Just went to the Hard Racing web site. It's really great. They explain all the details of al the products they sell. I spoke with one of the sales reps and she was very knowledgable and was able to answer all my questions about the Akaapovic. Best prices I've found so far and the system I want comes with a free PC3USB. Or, I can upgrade to a PC3R which will all me to adjust ignition timing. I really appreciate the information and the tip on Hard Racing. Looks like I'll be doing some business with them in the near future.
