Akrapovic exhaust

I just received my Akrapovic titanium from Lockhart/Phillips,I noticed that there are no install instructions included in the box, anyone else experience this?I'm quite sure I can work around this.

Kamikaze, did you ever go to Milan? After I replaced the broken oil line on my bike, my turbos exhaust started getting filled up with oil. It meant a total dis-assembly of the turbo to fix a probable bad turbine seal. I haven't had the time to do anything other than the dis-assembly, and although it shouldn't cost too much to fix I'll probably wait until after x-mas to do so. I was going to call you but I have been very busy. Good luck with the Akropvic, sounds nice (and light!) - Tom G.

what are the numbers on that system, weight, power what did you pay etc? i emailed lockphilltps to get some info and dyno sheets but was never emailed back.

If this is a full titanium system do not use any heat tape on the exhaust.....bad stuff will happen. If the header is ss then it's ok.

maniac, what is your email address. i have some dyno sheets from lockhart on the akr. pipe. there pipe has the same quality as the yosh tit. pipe. it is lighter then the micron and it also sounds a little deeper and louder to me. the header pipes are larger then the micron and the yosh pipe. the yosh pipe was the lightest but it also cost almost twice as much. i gained 5 hp over each of the other two pipes with the akr. on my project bike.

Hey Kami,
None came with mine either, but not hard to install. You will have to move the radiator and fan out quite a bit, to get to the pipe, you will experience this when taking stock one off. I would also get some heat tape for the underside of bike the pipe will rest on plastic. It will propably only take you an hour to do, its not hard at all. You will love the deep throaty sound, but don't expect it to be loud, it just sounds mean.

GSXRTurbo:We went out on a wed. night,I just rolled out and ran a 10.9@136 mph,the tech guy tossed me,told me that I could not exceed 119 mph without leather pants on.

Team Hayabusa:Thanx for the tips,I'll install it over the winter.

Maniac:You can call Joe @ Lockhart/Phillips the number is 800.221.7291 x243
