Alarm help....

hey guys,
i feel its time i stop procrastinating, and buy a good alarm.....my taxes have been returned, and there r alot of choices as far as alarms go... i just cant take the risk of theft anymore.... my friends '05 gixxer was stolen right out in front of his house last night/early morning.... along with 3 other bikes in a well kept neighborhood.... its obvious. it was a planned attack. 4 bikes in the same area? c'mon! usually happens here around bike week. anyway..... im looking for a good system that will NOT fail me....besides good security, i was hoping for some extras... i see the scorpio has auto-shutoff, is it capable of remote start? i dont want a walmart special obviously, but im not rich....any thots guys? biggest bang for the buck?!?!

I use a chatter box has ignition kill . Honestly to me an alarm keeps an honest person honest if they want your bike theree gonna get it all we can do is make it a little harder for them.. If i was a bike ring Thief i wouldnt even worry about cranking one roll up with a lawnmower trailer tip bike over on trailer and haul arse.. wheel locks handlebar locks and alarm kill all useless..Besides how many times you been to a mall parking lot and someones alarm goes off do you call the police .only safe way is to keep it in locked garage at house with alarm on garage. and beretta in house

I have to agree with Samurai! I never look twice at an alarm in panic!
I personally put on the LM 506 alarm, was rather inexpensive and hasn't failed me yet! Has proximity meter, auto-kill, etc. But, i do keep mine in a locked garage, with alarm set on both bike and garage, Lil Bully disc lock ALWAYS in place! I dont have the Beretta in the house though, i put my trust in the Glock 9mm with the hollow points!

i can hook you up with something better than an alarm for around the same price as a good alarm...i am talking about a gps tracker...i have one on my bike and i can track it with any comp over the internet at any time i want and if its tacken out of a preset area (i.e. 1/4 mile) it will call me on my cell, send me a txt meassge and send me an email...so far the system has a 100% recovery rate over all the US, mexico and parts of canada...you cant beat that! nor can you beat the satisfaction of meeting those bastids face to face....best thing is no one expects it, or can find it...!

As it has already been said earlier that other might ignore your screaming alarm but it will aleast get your attention when it is parked outside of your house. The Scorpio is a one piece closed unit combined with a siren, OEM wiring harness, anti hi-jack disable,pager with a clock,adjustable perimeter sensor,tilt and touch senor.
