Wow that really sucks ha.. they need to make an alarm system that instead of chirping to warn you.. creates an electrical field around your bike waiting for someone to touch it and complete the cicruit find a fried dead theif next to ur bike
Spend the money on a Road Lok, a Scorpio Alarm, a lite bike cover and a chain/ cable and lock ( for attaching to an immovable object) you can take with you on your trip. Make it hard as possible for potential thieves to defeat your security systems.
data tool or smartwater,again if somebody wants somthing they will get it no matter what you got on it.just make sure you get the best alarm out there.
datatools are retailing for £400 over here fitted.
and dont forget ya roadlock.
try this link-i know u said $200 but ah...."beep beep" noises dont scare thieves' all that much if you ask me...road lock is worth the $ as long as u remember to take it off-otherwise it'll cost you a new front fender n maybe rim.....

I'm sure someone witnessing two people carrying a covered bike with the alarm going off would probably notice somthing a little fishy. Plus out of site mean out of mind.
