I've been riding a ZRX1100 and an FZ1 during the past 5 years...both are sit-up and beg naked bikes...no leaning forward or reaching out for the bars...well...yesterday???...I just cleared the driveway and began to head up my street and went to reposition my jacket collar a bit and my right hand sorta missed a tad as my upper body weight sorta fell with the heel of my olympia gloved palm landing on the throttle...and naturally it caused the throttle to roll-on......huge mistake......and the busa's throttle is quit a bit more...uhem..."sensitive"...than on my previous bikes...and heres come the front wheel...to make matters worse???...I was caught in a..."the higher it got the more throttle it cause my hand to roll-on" sorta situation.

I had a face full of dash by the time I realized  that the only way I WASN'T going to loop my new-to-me Busa???...is if I pulled my right hand completely and immediately away from the throttle...which I did...and fortunately ended with a less than graceful landing of the front wheel.

Damn I need some risers....quick.

Ya, I ride a zrx1200 and the Busa. The Busa demands alot of throttle control or ouchie, ouchie. Hard set down is better than a loop

I did something like that, I was riding to pick my daughter up at church, I pulled into the parking lot and when I began to accelerate something happened with my glove, I'm not sure what, but the front end lifted up as I was headed toward the kids. (teenagers) I let off the throttle, the bike slammed down and I skidded to a stop on the back wheel. All the kids said "cool, can you do that again" let's not tell them it as not intentional.

I use ski gloves in the off season. They have two layers so you kinda lose feel of the throttle. I have startled myself more than once wearing those gloves.

My friend totaled his busa exactly like that. He got going too fast during his accidental wheelie, the road turned, the busa didn't.

Glad you are ok. I do my best to pull over to adjust anything, helmet chin strap, gloves and stuff.

+1 Not good to divide attention/control while riding.

About the only time I really do anything stupid is when I take my clutch hand off and wave to Hardley riders in mid corner. It's funny to see which ones are good enough riders to return the wave, and which ones are grippin' the bars for dear life at their snail like paces.

Had more than one of 'em turn loose to wave and get a big bobble, forcing them to frantically grab for the left grip to regain control.

They usually don't wave but probably figured that since you are on a chic bike that you're a chic and they love to wave a chics.

Picked up a bad habit from another bike that full throttle everywhere was the norm. Doing a finger pull, palm stop and more finger pull to rotate the throttle 180 degrees while keeping hand comfortably level. Do that on a Busa sometimes forget backing off it's still at half throttle with some real power still at work. Results in many times merging on the freeway on one wheel
