Put Maladin on an R1, Bostrom on a Suzuki.

What's going to be the result at the checkered flag?

i say Maladin would win. i remember reading a comment about Ricky Carmichael when he switched to Suzuki, the comment was "who was going to slow Ricky down?" and the reply was "Suzuki". Ricky continued to dominate motocross and supercross. an average rider on a great bike is no match for a great rider on an average bike, no matter what brand. :beerchug:

I think he would still win too. Might be more of a race though.

I think you could put Mladin on a Hyosung and he would still win!

Suzuki/Yosh are dominant but I think the real difference is Mat and the R1 is close enough that he would still win if he switched rides with Bostrom.

BTW, I saw Greg White at the Canadian Superbike Championships at Calabogie Motorsports Park this past weekend. He was riding a CBR125R and he is a lot bigger than I thought. It was kind of interesting seeing him on the little CBR and he was giving up about 70 lbs to his competitors who of course dropped him (the bike only makes 14hp!) Good to see him out there dicing though! I was thinking about picking up one of these little racers and getting my 14 yr old out on the track....

^ I wish my parents had the same thought when I was young, might be a in a different place in life. Though there is probably a better chance of winning the lotto then racing professionally, and you almost need the lotto win first to pay for everything its nice to dream.

Back on topic I would say Maladin would still be winning, maybe not in such a hands down fashion but that guy is FAST!

I hear yah....I wish my folks would have had the cash and desire to get me into karting or motox but no such luck. I don't really have a budget for travelling so the racing part would be limited to Mosport, Shannonville and Calabogie (all within 3.5 hrs of home) but we could do some track days and just have fun with it on a very amateur level. If he did turn out to be Mladin then the sponsors would have to step up to take it to the next level.:please:

Matt would still win, although it might take both of them a few races to get comfy with the bike change.
