I am more along the line that we live in a "Predatory Capitalist state". This movie is not news to me. Nonetheless, it is very good to have a vehicle to propagate the message that needs to be heard by most people. Too bad that it is unlikely to lead to change. This is why I live in Europe, am not subject to US income withholdings (at my current earnings) and do not foresee returning to the US for permament residency. You should really see the stark contrast in style of living in the rest of the world. People have less stuff, but what they possess is owned by them. Cash is the only way to go in most places outside of Western Europe, and North America. Dada dada dadada...

This deserves a deeper look by the Forum. I have a few issues with how we as Americans are tagged and monitored (figuratively speaking so don't call me a quack) with a Social Security number that has become a very powerful nine digit number. You gotta have a credit rating to be somebody in this society. You have to owe someone to acquire a credit rating. Then you assimilate into the community of financial slavery. Then you buy a car and a house on borrowed money. And, proudly calling yourself a homeowner, you move into the nine yard white picket American dream. But, fact is, you don't own the house, the banks do, you just hold a Title as landowner, (basically you are a custodian of the estate). If the market drops and you want to sell, you will pay to get out, but if it rises you make a buck.
Why the phuk do you need to have you credit looked at for the purpose of Auto insurance? That is going too far. Come on folks chime in and give your opinions..

Problem is that Russo's timeline seems feasable based on the current trend. You are more and more trackable via various "necessities" such as a cell phone and credit cards. It's all over the place, you can't disappear anymore because of our dependancy on credit cards and electronic transactions. Now we are on the internet, another "necessity", albeit a very entertaining one and we are tracked and preyed upon by cyber crooks and various domestic intelligence agencies. It is a two way mirror with everything we do, everything we fancy and peruse can be seen by trained people. So those late night clicks on "alternative lifestyle" links will probably end up in a file somewhere that will inevitably surface were you to have political aspirations.

Hummmmmm, lets see, I have no loans, own my house and all my autos and bikes ! I think it's a matter of if I have the money I pay for the item. If I don't , then I don't. I've done this for 40 years. But, our system is why put off today when you can just borrow the money and have the product now. And unfortunately, most Americans feel that, Well, why not, tomorrow I might be dead

Buy 1 when you can afford 10 in cash...
I dont have a credit card on hand - it is hidden away in my locker and I use it to pay for utilities and my mobile phone. I pay back every month religiously. For all other expenses - I use cash/debit card.
No I didnt buy the Busa when I could afford 10...I bought it because I would probably not have another chance to own one and enjoy one. I am moving back to India and I will be selling the Busa soon

Now question that the guy is extreme in many if not most of his views. The stuff I feel strongly about is just what I commented on.
