Got a chance to wire up an ams2000 today, pretty badass hardware. Wiring it into a gen2 busa harness that I am doing a bunch of work on, adding a maxxsport in place of the stock ecu and extending out a bunch or stuff to the ams.

Shuft input
Clutch
Scramble
Decrease boost
Arm
Rpm
Tps
Wheelspeed
Manifold pressure
Wastegate Pressure

If my AMS1000 gave me ANY reason to change, I would have one

Nice carpet . . .

Seriously, that’s about the extent of my knowledge on the AMS control units.
Looks expensive.
Is it plug and play?
Its plug and play after I made it that way LOL. No they don't come that way, I wired it all into a gen2 harness that a customer sent me that i removed stock ecu and installed a MaxxSport standalone amongst a bunch of other things.

Ok… so how much time does that take to do? I mean, to wire into the harness and test it all?
Do you do all the work yourself at your business? What I’m trying to say is.. I’m trying to figure out the size of your business…

My business is just me in my basement. I've had Boostbysmith for over 15 years as a side hobby but keep very busy with it, especially this last year when I asked a ton of new products and custom stuff.

This setup is rather unique, as a stand alone ams2000 harness to add everything I added for this one would take a fair bit of time as I would do it with plug and play connectors for every signal. Since I had the entire engine harness and had it all stripped of loom etc outta all built into the harness on a 13v way connector to just plug in.

Thanks for taking the time to reply,
Sounds like you have a very busy life.
With the harness off the bike, how on earth do you know how long or short to make the add on wiring? I would’ve thought you’d need the complete bike to be sure you get the length correct to fit the placement of the extra parts added?
I’m in awe of your skills and dedication to the craft…. You’re producing products no one else appears to be interested in doing.

Lot of patience lol, pics from customer, mock up on my gen1 busa etc. This helps too, I can virtually run the ecu fire coils, injectors etc

Aaaah yes, you have a Gen 1 sitting there to do the mock up, gotcha.
Your test rig is very impressive.
As you say… a LOT of patience is needed!
A big thanks from me for giving your time and energy to the Busa community!
