my friend is a bad a$$ upholstry wizard. He can build just about any shape , color and texture you can imagine. His prices can put the big guys out of buisness. He does everything himself from start to finish. He did mine on the spot in the exact same carbon fiber look material that both of the big guys use. Also he custom made the seat to fit me. Not just a standard redo. Check him out at COUNTYSEATS.NET JUST ask tobin or corbin if they will custom build you a seat for less than 150.00 and see how quick they laugh or simply hang up on you.

I was just about to order a new seat for better back support, thanks for posting this!  will check it out...looks great!

their website isn't very helpful...can you ask them to post pics, prices and what they can offer us?

ummm...okay, mebbe your guy did a great seat FOR YOU
-but that dont mean it's knockin Tobin or Corbin outta the box-especially Tobin-dude there's no Kanji, custom lettering, or two-tone materials here...to say your boy "can put the big boys out of business" is a lil strong-unless the whole point of your post was just to piss off Tobin (which ALOT of people on here have) and everyone who has a seat done by him....choose your words more carefully next time if that ISNT your goal.

and FYI-I dont own either a Corbin OR a Tobin seat, so Im not tryin to 'defend' them for any other reason than you threw up a post like d***.

Thats far from what Tobin provides, sorrry dude but maybe Tobin seats arent for everyone, but he does offer a superb product at a fair price,he's a nice guy and very easy to do business with.Goes along way today with me.

Thats great! However I do love my Tobin, It rocks

well folks i love my tobin seat..might be a little pricey but very good people and do a great job..dont have corbin and i did my homework with seats before i bought and by far tobin is for me..now some folks might knock them but you pay for what you get..could i find some one to do the same job probably but not the same quality..so before you knock you better do your homework and bad mouthing isnt right..they are good people and do a great job and very popular with the motorcycle community..and they do make the seats to fit riders all yo got to do is ask..its on their form to fill out is how much you weigh..just a little food for thought..

I still have a stock seat but personally like Tobin's seat better. The quality of their products make the seat worth the extra $$$. I quess everyone has their own opinion on style and am not knocking your friends seat. It is nice and I am sure some people would prefer his seats. If your friend is serious about selling his seats here or you want to help him promote the seats, you may want to contact the captain about having him become a sponsor. Just a thought.

(fsusux @ Jun. 02 2007,17:22) I'm not impressed
let's not turn this into a "bash the new guy" thread-
my only intetion here was to make it known that Tobin seats r still good seats for the $$...I have not sat on this other guy's seat, so I will not say it sux-it looks pretty good actually...but he started this thread off wrong, and I was just tryin to point it out to him.

If you dont like the seat-just leave the thread with no comments....there's plenty other forums for trash-talking n what-not. let's keep that outta here.

I am probably one of few that has had a problem with Tobin, he has a great product when he takes his time and works thorough, but his customer service skills suck!!!! He is definitely not one of the BIG BOYS in business or he would have handled this situation much differently.
Back during the group buy I ordered a seat, sent in my seat to be Tobinized and it was returned without the mounting bracket, then within a week the stiching of the logo started to pull away from the leather.
To get this replaced, I had to pay him for another seat, before he would make a new one and send it out.
I offered a credit card number with written authorization that he could charge in the event he did not get my jacked up seat back after he sent out a replacement.
No deal, then not only did he charge me again, he charged more than the origional price for the core on the seat..... Once the transaction was complete he did credit the money charged, but I did not think I should have been inconvienanced for his poor craftmanship, and neglect to put my mounting bracket back on.
Like I said, his product is a great idea and is good when it is done right, just be careful if it is not......
Now to offer a story about excellent customer service, SpencerCycle sent me some adjustable lowering links that were incorrect, without pause they shipped out the correct set, along with an RMA and shipping sticker already paid for for the incorrect set that was sent. Did not ask for a deposit, to buy the new set and wait for a credit once the wrong ones were returned, all they did was apologise for the trouble and even sent out the replacements via 2 day. That is excellent customer service that will bring me back over and over.

keep in mind tobin has a full time job and does this in his free time..i also got a total of about 10$ difference and wasent real happy about it but when i got my seat it was worth it..customer service sometimes might not be the greatest but they will take care of you..took some time for them to get ahold of me but they get 100 calls a day or better..i got there new chrome thread and havent had one prob with it..keep in mind though anything that gets sowed(sp) you might have probs with it at some point in time but so far 3000 miles later and no prob..

That seat looks pretty good, but why bash the others? And you may want to check your facts first. Just a plain seat from Tobin runs about $125 (here's the website Tobin Seats.

now im not bashin others i knew what i wanted and their seat is what i wanted..now ive heard of other people buying corbins and paying alot more and selling them 1 month later now that doesnt pursuade me for getting any other seat but i just new what i wanted..lots of other seats out ther you just have to find one that fits you and for me being 6'3" and 250 this seat very comfortable and my fat ass can ride alot longer than i could on the stock seat...i also fit in the bike rather than on top of the bike..
