So yesterday made 6 years ago that I lost my best friend, my Sister's husband, and my Nephew's father. I've told the story here before, but he was riding my wifes SV650 and crashed in a corner while following behind me. I saw him go down in the mirror... He died instantly which is the only blessing in the whole experience. Anyway, I took my annual ride to the cemetery where he stays now.. It was a beautiful day just has it has been every anniversary weekend for him.. Just wanted to share with my "family" some of the things in my life that make me who I am.

Here is where he is "laid to rest"...

Here is my favorite little man that he had to leave behind...

Just wanted to remind all you to be careful out there.. No matter who you are or where you're at, someone out there loves you and wants you to come home. :beerchug:

I think about my loved ones every time I get on the bike. helps me stay within my limits sometimes. thanks for sharing GsxrBots, you're a good man for remembering, stepping up and helping with your Nephew and being able to share your experiences so others may benefit.

I am so glad your sister and Nephew have you. I wish you did not have to go down this road, but life happens and throws many curve balls. Rolling with the punches is sometimes all we can do. A great deal of the part of being a man is having to shoulder heavy burdens, and how you handle them is what defines you. I can tell that you are defined as very strong, dependable, and loving.

Stay the course, Bot!

Im sure he's riding on your shoulder every time you hit the road. Its great that you make the trip out each year. Im sure you're keepin an eye on his lil man, he needs you in his life.

 again, i am sorry for your loss. it really sucks losing someone we love. thank you for sharing his Heaven day with us.

i am sorry for you loss. i couldn't imagine experiencing a situation like yours. take care of your nephew as i am sure you have already. he looks like a real good kid.

sorry you have had to go through this but thanks for sharing...you are a great person for standing up and taking part of the load of helping that young guy grow into a man  through him, your best friend and brother-in-law lives on :beerchug:

Sorry for you and your family's loss. Life is not fair, but maybe through your loss you can help someone else who may be heading toward the same fate as your brother. God bless!

Sorry for your loss. He lives on in your memories and the memories of your loved ones.
