Another great test of the 2008 Hayabusa....

It's only a two page blurb on the new BUSA but I'll post some of the quotes as well as test information that the mag has reported.

"-we didn't even bother folding the mirrors in - it demolished EVERY acceleration record we've seen since BIKE started datalogging speed runs."

"The Hayabusa is the first production bike to achieve a nine-second quarter-mile from a standing start."

0-60MPH: 2.74s
0-100MPH: 4.92s
0-150MPH: 10.24s
0-180MPH: 18.84s
STANDING QUARTER: 9.985s @ 147.82mph

They also have a nice little dyno comparo showing the latest and greatest bikes.

"We've never seen an untuned machine make 170bhp on this equipment before-let alone 180."

2005 Hayabusa 155.9bhp @ 9,400rpm
2007 Kawasaki ZZR1400 168.4bhp @ 9,600rpm

In the February issue of Cycle World they reported the 08 BUSA broke the fastest journalist 1/4-mile record running 9.70 @ 148.xMPH. The E/T isn't that impressive to me but look at that MPH...
