Another New Owner

I just picked up my new red/gray Busa on Saturday. So far (35 miles) it's great. Of course it rained today, so I removed the stickers and reflectors, and wiped off the drool. One thing that bugs me is that the front turn signals are not also running lights. Sometime in the future I think I will try to install different bulbs in place of the originals. I'm also going to change or modify the footpegs, and definetly get a new windshield. The reflection from cars taillights in front of me is really annoying.

Next weeks weather here in Ohio doesn't look too bad, so I should get the beak-in done quickly. Can't wait to feel the full power it has to offer. My other bike is a 900RR with nitrous. I'm sure the power diffence will be like between my old CBR600F2 and the 900RR. There's that drool again.

Congrats on your new addition to your family. I picked up my new blue/silver on friday. I have also taken off all the stickers, bought a new windshield, and am currently modifying the footpegs. I also applied three coats of wax aready. It has also been raining all day here in Indiana and is supposed to rain again tomorrow. Hopefully Tuesday I can add to my 28mi. And the Blue/Silver ids the fastest of all! We had some posts on here last month about how great it would be if the front lenses were clear, with amber bulbs inside, for the appearance. It did turn out to be moreb work then some had hoped because they are constructed in two pieces and glued together, I believe. They would make even cooler running lights then , though, I think. Good luck with your new bike, don't trust the side stand, and never race the blue ones!

I was going to wax it too, but I forgot I was out of the wax I prefer. All I had left was cleaner/wax which I don't like too much. Also, I don't like waxing my bike in the garage too much since I always miss some places. I'll do it on a lunch break or two this week.

I didn't think I would have it his soon. The salesman told me he'd give me a call when he had a weeks notice before it showed up. On Friday he called me and said it would be in next week, and he'd call me back. Then Saturday mourning he calls saying it's there. They had a total of 5 Busas come in, and three were gone on Saturday.

201mph, I did get the bulbs installed last night. I used the sockets out of another Denso plug I had in my toolbox from a Toyota Corolla. Just had to grab the metal socket, and slid it out of the plug. Now I just need to wire them up. I plan to make them come on with the ignition, and have the corresponding running light shut off when that sides turnsignal is activated.

CJack, I'm in the Dayton area. Brock is also in this area, and I get to watch him at the dragstrip on test and tune night. Everyone else is running one bike while sometimes Brock is running several. One time I saw him running the Bandit, a Busa, The 600, and a 750 all in a row. He'd make a pass on one, the run back to the line where someone else was holding the next bike for him. It was fun to watch.
