Just curious if a power commander is really worth getting? I have a 07 with yoshi slip ons and tre. I was quoted one for $280 I dunno if i should get it? Thanks

I wouldn't ride without it. I have an 04, well just see below. Buy it you won't regret it.

Custom map or don't waste your $
With what you've got---- NO ! Just go to a tuner and have them reset you stock map. You've really only changed the exhaust and Yoshi (which I have) R&D tech told me that the stocker would be fine. And to just get it reset the next time I had it in for work if I wanted to. And that's from a place who sells custom PC for their Exhaust !

A custom dyno for every single bike is a must.

Get rid of the slip ons, go with a FULL system, PC, and a custom map...other wise don't waste any more $$$ than you already have

. And most of us already have enough power but want sound and a smoother driveability which a corrected map will give you. Spending thousands of $$$ for a few additional HP in the upper rev limits doesn't do much for me since I'll never see them. But a neat sound and smooth acceleration does.

I went with a power commander.. installed it today.. uploaded the file they have on their website for yoshi slip ons and stock or k&n filter... I didn't have much time to ride but I took her around the block and it seems like 1st gear has a bit more power... Didn't get to try the other gears at higher rpms though.
Now where should i go for custom maps? I live in Syracuse NY. And what are those buttons on the power commander? the low mid and high buttons.
I'm new to this.. sorry.

haust cause I didn't wanna pay 1000 bucks.. so I paid 460 for my slip ons and i like them a lot. I have a unfinished car project that keeps stealing my bike money
