Ken: I sent you a PM a couple of weeks back and haven't heard anything from you. I can only guess that you're not interested in riding with me and my 'pack'. 'course, that's probably me...just thinkin'.

One thing that's really important in looking for people to ride with is to let them know what type of riding you want to do.

For example...you couldn't drag me out of the canyons for a ride to Point Loma or Mission Beach. There are others you couln't get out of Qualcomm Stadium on Friday nights for their velocity runs. See what I'm saying?

For another example...timing is important. I was in Temecula last Sunday at 8am after having blown through Rice and Couser canyons to get there. I had to leave home at 6:45 on a Sunday morning (it's why I rode there alone and met up with some folks from another city); and there are a boatload of folks who you'd never see on Sunday before 11-12:00 and that's only because they're looking for brunch.

And I saw you at bike night Mira Mesa a couple of weeks back. You didn't connect with any riders there?

In sum, if you're looking for something specific, let me know; maybe I can hook you up with some like-minded folks.

You've got my address...and I'm standing by.

Scar

I really enjoyed our first ride we did about a month ago.

And of course looking forward to more riding with you and other Busa Dudes in San Diego/SOCAL

I took a 5 hr riding clinic a few weeks ago from a few seasoned riders.

We spend time learning the theory and riding postions then many hours out in the twisties in the North County.

I must say I now know more about riding the Busa then I did before the class.

Heading out again this weekend for another long ride and will get more practice with these guys

Let me know when the Busa Dudes are out again

If you take Scar up on riding with him you will more than likely meet other Busa riders
I have replied an sent Scar a PM, but he is pretty busy so I am just checking to see what all the other Busa Riders in San Diego are up too?

Scar and others anyone up for riding next weekend?

1/8 mile doesn't seem great because you can't ride.
You brought a rocket and can't handle it. There are lots of Busa riders in San Diego. To many now for me. I see Chicks on Busa's making it look is a girls bike. Just go to bike night and see all the posers on Busa's.
The bike is losing respect with all the wimps riding them these days.

Good points and another reason I am trying to find the REAL Busa riders in San Diego who respect the machine for what it is.

Lets get together this weekend if you are around

Let me know

I'm in San Diego and ride.... Scar, what's up with the Velocity stuff at the stadium?  Never heard of that.
Sorry for the delayed reply...I'm on travel.

Anyway, every Friday night at Qualcomm there are drag races. I've been invited to go watch on a couple of occasions, but have always declined. It's simply not my interest in motorcycle riding.

There are a number of people who go there religiously.

Hey now!! I resemble that!!

Don't lose respect for the machine because of who else owns one...that's crazy-talk.

A couple of weekends ago, I passed a Desmo going up Pally; couldn't stand being behind the 18-point turns any longer and finally, FINALLY, he acknowledged that he was how-shall-I-say, retarding my progress. It's an awesome bike, just a very green pilot.

Because there are no performance or skill tests, Bike Night is Poser Paradise. 'nuff said.
