Any Hayabusa Stolen Yet

damn right, i'd like to catch one of those bastards myself.Just like those guys did in england, set a bike out in a dark spot at night and on purpose, then sit in a sound proof van and waited till a perp came along, drug him into the van and beat the living poop out of him, and they do this every night. They get a different one every night. Now wouldn't it be cool to be able to do that and get away with it??
I don't think it would lower the number of bikes that get stolen, but for the people that have had one stolen, it sure would make you feel better to beat the poop out of someone that was about to steal a bike.
just my .02 cents

KawAbuser, your my kind of guy!! And I mean that! My feelings exactly. If I ever caught anyone trying to steal anything I have, they would die.

When I had my 89Gxsr1100 stolen from me in Sunnyvale, they caught the guy which solved 17 and up to 20 some motorcycles stolen in our area, anyways I went to court just to see who the guy was. When he came in and the court called his name out and read the charges he just laughed and smirked, then the court asked if any victims were in court and I stood up and since I'm a bodybuilder and is known by most of the biker groups in the Bay area you should have seen the looked on the A%%holes face when I just pointed at him.I'm still looking for the creep and his group and when we cross paths I'll just tell everyone that I had flash backs from my military days if you know what I mean.

I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of any Hayabusa stolen yet and from what State or Country and also if anyone know if any areas to avoid leaving your bike unattended?I know for our area Campbell,Ca. and East San Jose,Ca is and area that you would not want to leave your bike alone and not chained to a post and alarmed and wheel locked, they have guys driving around in vans with these long pipes for the front and back wheels and they just stick these pipes between the wheels and pickup the bikes and throw them in the van and speed off.Best defense for this if you see this happen is to always carry a buck/any knife of legal length and slash the van tires, learned that from my biker friends.Other than that just call the cops and hope they solve the crime. And I do mean Hope!!!!!

My suggestion is a NRA or S&W sticker, that way the fool drowning in his own puddle of blood at least had a warning. Do unto others as other do to you.

Support the NRA, look what happened in the UK and Oz.

I'll just Pull My .40 Caliber Out of My Shoulder holster. boy will this puke be surprised Cuff-em & Stuff-em

Ride safe,Stay Alert

Hey I read that artile too. It was in PerformanceBike wasnt it? We need a little more 'street justice' like that to get the point across to these thugs. No offense to COP161 but the legal system is just to forgiving or just not around when it goes down.

It would be just my luck that COP161or buddies would show up while we were having school then it would be our ass.

Hey! Its only illegal if you get caught :) :)

I stopped off at a petrol station / shop in Harlow last Friday to pick up some goodies en-route home. I alarmed the bike (Meta) and was away from it for < 5 mins.
When I returned, 2 guys were trying to break the steering lock so they could get it over to the waiting van!
The alarm was going potty!
I went potty!
They pushed the bike over, so it's now nicely grazed on the right side, and ran off to their van ......

Thanks to all the punters who saw this happening to the bike in broad daylight and ....... did absolutely nothing to help.

Shoot the mothers!

Essex,I agree, to bad you didn't have a gun to shoot them with. It's messed up that no one would stop them/call the police or something. In my opinion thats a killing offence.Sorry to hear about your bike, damn glad they didn't get away with it.
Ride safe and have a good one

A knife into the side of the Van tires does the trick all the time, never fails. My 2cents,can't carry a gun anymore so next step is the multi assault anti-thief knife,"buck knife".

If i ever caught anyone fuckin with any of my poop, they better be really fast...
'cause i'm not stoppin until i grad hold of the motherfucker and beat him into dust, and this is no bullshit just plain fact.
And if it was ever anything that went down at my house,my Pits will be turned loose and they'll have their way with the "quickly changing his mind but too late" intruder.

I thought I was a tough guy too...Untill while VISITING california I was jacked. You dont know what to do in a situation untill it happens. The ass put a .357 revolver in my face, and told me he was going to kill me if I didnt get off of the bike. He was on my right side, and all I could think id ..Im never going to see my kids again. In a last minute though I exited the baki on the left, and turned my gas to the 'off' position. He fled with my bike, and I called the cops. They said..Is it covered by insurance?..and I told them waht I had done with the gas. and again thaey asked...is it covered by insurance?. I replied yes, and by the grace of God a patrol car just happened to be passing by on the highway. I stopped him, and he engaged in a pursuit. He waited till the bike came to a halt, and then I watched as the sugar threw my bike to the ground, and fled on foot. It was the most gut wrenching experience of my life. 2,200 dollars worth of damage in less than 10 min. Had I had a gun at the time...I would not have been able to get to it untill he ws riding off, and at that point it would not have been self defense...it would have been homicide. But now...Ill push through a yellow light, before I stop at unfamiliar intersections. Just a thought...

Man, you guys are brutal on this subject!

I can relate to the feelings, but in practice, isn't it likely that professional bike thieves who work in broad daylight would be armed and desperate i.e. more desperate and therefore more dangerous than you?

Sure, scare'em off...but, unless you've got a concealed weapon permit and are packing (in which case you'd be fine to shoot their legs out), don't engage the buggers physically...no matter how tough you think you are.

In my 36 continuous years of riding, I've never known or even met a person who's had a bike stolen. I live in Toronto the Good, up here in the Great Frozen North. Is it really that bad for thieving in the States and in England?

Dirty Pete in California and the rest of the USA,they have a law that say if you steal you go to jail unless your a juvenile than you get let off lightly. We also have a law that says if you use a gun or kill someone you go to jail and that law has been around for a long time. Now since our Justice system is so over burden and they do not know what to do about this, they are now having Gun control, use to be get rid of saturday night special, now it's assault weapons or any gun that can hold more than 10 bullets, never once do the lame politician bring up the issue of CRIMINAL control,we have death row immates that have been in prison for over 10yrs and the politician talk about tax payers money being wasted ever time some one gets shot by a gun.All I can say is get rid of the criminal and you get rid of the some of the problems we are having.I guess we should use some of the criminal laws some of the Arabic countries have,if you steal your hand comes off period. If you don't stand up and fight some of these crimes it will continue, but if seat back and watch you are part of the problem.I had my 89GSXR1100 stolen and trashed so I know how some of the other guys feel.My 2cents

Slurpee, what part of California were you jacked at,LA,Oakland,San Francisco,San Jose.Anyways cops won't go after I guy who has a gun until they have enough back up,"Swat team,MERGE team,Special Crime Unit",if he had a gun and took your bike who was still holding the gun while he was driving the bike?Anyways did they catch the jerk?Watch out for the Oakland area cause one of my friends had his bike stolen on the city street by the same MO.Anyways chopping the hands off is a good one for me for a major thief.

Yeah, we are pretty brutal about stuff like this.Of course we are only talking about what we'd like to do, of course we probably wouldn't really shoot one of these guys, or engage them in battle. But it sure would be nice to catch them by surprise and beat the hell out of them.Of course, it would be better if we didn't have to worry about stuff like this at all.The reason we are so uptight about this subject is that we've all had bikes or other stuff stolen from us,I know i have, i have a 98 gsxr-750, and it didn't cost what a busa does, but still, if it were stolen, man what a bad day i'd be having. So, pete, since most of us have had that sick to your stomach oh my god my poop's been stolen feeling, you can understand how we feel about our bikes being stolen. To bad we have even worry about it.Well enough ranting from me, ride safe and have a good day everyone.

Yeah Gixerbike1, I had my home broken into, trashed and looted in 1992. They took a lot of stuff that was important to me, and left much of the replaceable stuff...TV, stereo etc.

I know the feeling you're talking about.

After the break-in, I put the word out on the street that I'd pay $10,000 to have the guy(s) delivered to my door so I could tie them up, knock them out and tattoo their faces to Hell.

A lot of bad guys wanted that $10,000, but the perps were never found.

I had to chime in on this subject. two quick true stories. the first from the Bronx the second from Staten Island NYC.

1) three years ago my friends father (47yrs old) stumbled upon two teens in the process of stealing his vette. He owned a hardware store and had a gun permit (but for the store only). Anyway, he pulled his .32 and warned these kids to stop and get out. They said he'd have to kill them, and started the car. he pumped 4 shots into the car. it rolled to a stop. One of the teens became parapalegic. The kids got 6 months, he got 3.5 years for assult with a deadly weapon, and is now out on parol.

2) A close friend of mine (a 2nd degree in Joju karate) caught and beat the sh*t out of a perp (26yrs old) trying to steal his VMAX. He fractured the guys colar bone, sprained his wrist and gave him a concussion. When the cops came (my buddy called them), the cops put the perp into an ambulance, and my friend into the patrol car. We dont know what the perp got, but get this, aside from the 4 grand my friend spent on laywer fees to get him out of the aggravated assult charges, the perp tried to sue him for the hospital bills. God bless America.

I dont know what the answer is, but it seams that we loose either way. I try to keep a disposible camera on me. If it ever happens that i stumble upon someone in the act, I'll snap away first, and depending on the situation, to protect my properity. Im 6', 210 lbs solid (12% body fat), have been kickboxing for 5 yrs and weight training for 8 yrs. But Im not going to get locked up over a bike. Even if it is my beloved Busa. So if i cant watch it, i'll put it in a parking lot, or chain it. I wont give them a chance to get at it. If i slip up, then I fu**ked up. Just a thought.
