Any must haves for 2011?

I recently bought the 2011 black and red busa. I bought a few additions for it. Sprockets and chain. Puig Dark Smoke db, Vortex rearsets "black of course", Hotbody black outs for front and back, Red Halo, Sylvania light, Tankpads, Pazzo levers, and reflective red ring for the rims.

Just wondering if there is something that is a must have, being my 1st busa?

1. good riding gear (disrgerad if you already have these)
2. suspension set-up for your weight/riding prefernces
3. brake upgrades
4. frame sliders
5. exhaust upgrades

Ecu Editor from boostbysmith.com to turn off factory restrictions(1st through 4th gear timing restrictions and top speed limiter). The bike is noticeably stronger without them.
Ecu editor does alot more too.
Different levers, grips, seats, and handlebars can also improve comfort and riding position along with those rearsets.
Which you may prefer though is a personal preference.
Like Kromdom mentioned, brakes and suspension setup.
Ebc Extreme Pro front pads make a big difference in stopping power. SS brake lines will improve brake feel also.
Have the suspension sag set for your weight, most bikes setting's from the factory causes them to ride and handle terrible.
Speedohealer, it'll correct the 7% factory error in the speedometer. It'll also correct any gearing or tire size changes(don't know if you changed tooth count on new sprockets).
A battery tender. It's good to be able to plug the bike in(pigtail harness stays on bike)to an outlet to keep the battery up. Especially if the bike will sit for a while. Cheap and easy.
Aluminum 83 degree valve stems with first tire change(about $30). Makes it so much easier to check tire pressure.

Hey. How do you like the Vortex rearsets. I can't deside between the vortex and buell pegs. I'm a big guy and need more clearance for my knees

I haven't put any of these items on yet. I am in the buying process right now. Then we'll start adding it on. Exhaust will be next year after I get her broke in.

I bought most of my stuff thru Pashnit and Ballzmotorsports Thanks to both.

I have Vortex Rearsets too(I'm 5'10").
I find them more comfortable than stock, with them set all the way up and back.
Your feet are back around an inch, and also up around an inch(and can be adjusted in between).
Having your feet higher puts your leg more straight out from the hip.
Moving them back only also gives you a little more room. Vortex are one of the few rearsets that can also be put in the stock position. They cannot be adjusted any lower than stock though.
It's still going to be a personal preference as to whether or not you like how they feel, regardless of your size.
Shifting and rear brake feel are improved due to bearings on the shift/brake lever mounts. As opposed to the stock bushings.
They are also solid mount, great for wheelies and agressive riding where you steer with your feet. You don't have that spongey feeling when the pegs flex under your weight.
This also causes a little buzz in your feet cruising at certain highway speeds, but is not noticeable elsewhere.

Try the Buell peg mod. It's low cost, and if it does not work, one of the members here would snag them from you. They will drop you down a good inch, and lots of members here have that mod- so good feedback & member install support. (we don't sell these).

Vortex Rearsets are likely the most popular brand for Busa owners though - likely for the moderate cost. Six gave you an great answer, so nothing to add - other than we do have set in stock.

Thank you! I was off the Busa for a couple months due to that slippy white stuff we get in the northeast and couldn't remember what the Ecu Editor was called, I thought I was going to lose my mind trying to find a post that mentioned it! Awesome advice!

Pony up the dough for the data logger from boost by smith. Great to be able to pop a sim card into your computer and see what the bike is doing.
Better seat, like Saddleman, Corbin, or the like. Your arse will thank you.
If you are 6' or over, Helibars or risers. Dramatically increase your comfort.
+1 dog bones. If you want to carve, best bang for the buck performance mod, (less than $50).
Plate relocator. Clean her butt up, and show that sexy rear tire.
Driven D5 grips, or the like. Fit the hands much better, less fatigue.
High flow air filter, like BMC or K&N, to go with a quality exhaust, and ECU tune.
Lithium Iron 12 cell battery, (Alien Motion, Ballistic, Shorai, etc.). Only weighs 2.5 #'s) Combined with the exhaust, (if u go full system like Brock's, Yoshi etc.), you will Have shaved 35#'s off the big girl!
Shop manual....you can download it for free....
Modding is half the FUN!
