I have the Yosh exhaust with the carbon fiber can, it's not as loud as most pipes (well at least mine's not) that I've heard on the busas, but I does the trick and keeps my passengers legs free from the burn scars.
I feel that if Suzuki uses Yosh on their race bikes, than I'm comfortable with it on mine.
Aluminum Yosh can is Louder then the carbon can, and round cans are always louder.
I have A Yosh carbon, its the perfect level.
Louder then the Akro,Micron,Hindle but quieter then the Muzzy. I have never heard the Sato but saw a round carbon Sato today at a dealer, looked killer.
The cheap aluminum/stainless muzzy is the loudest I have heard on a Busa and the pipe is only like $500. Good deal.
My bike went from a consistant 10.6 135mph stock to a best10.07 140.82mph with a Duplex Carbon Oval can, stainless ALSO HAD THE BROCK CLUTCH MOD FOR THE 10.07 RUN.Pipe is alittle buzy.midpipe hit the frame a little.Easy to fix,I would buy another from Yosh for my next bike.Too bad they dont make a carbon Trioval like in the catalog.Think it took23-25 pounds off.
I've got a full race stainless with titanium oval can. I think it's perfect for me. Growls and rumbles like a caged animal when running through town where you don't want to make too much noise (the law doesn't like it!). But when you hit the main roads she roars and screams with the best of them. Fits very well on the bike too, tucks in very well.
Having met a bloke with an Akrapovic pipe the other day, mine's louder, and I think sounds a bit more race-machine rather then loud street-machine.
Buzy-The springs on the canister vibrate a little. The bracket on the collector was a about 4 mills too short, and it hit the frame on the very bottom.Took a die grinder and took a small amount off the frame, and a little off the braket. Two minutes. These were not big problems and I almost forgot about them.If I HAD TO GET A DIFFERANT PIPE IT WOULD BE A CARBON ACRO.Who is Badboy?never seen a post from him before.
Just had the Yosh Race-only installed, system re-mapped to match...nice sound, not too loud. Sounds nothing like the ZX9R's with a Muzzy or D&D system as it compared to decible levels.
Since we're talking pipes here, anybody know if two Yosh alum. race-only slip-ons will be a bit more quiet than a pipe/single race can? Or do you think it's the same?
It would be only I havn't seen either the ten squid, or you round my gaf polishing the thing, so deals off I'm afraid. My (full) system was in the region of £700 if memory serves, only a couple of hundred more then the slip-ons, and a full 23lbs lighter!
