Anyone in the Dallas area hear of Mint Motorcycles? What do you think of them?

I'm in CA and looking at a used Hayabusa they have for sale. The BBB shows a few complaints filed, Yelp is mixed with either 5 star reviews or 1 star reviews, nothing in between.

Any opinions on this dealer would be appreciated. I'm trying to do some homework on them.

Also for you DFW folks, any recommendations on a mobile mechanic in that area who can go to the dealership and check out the bike for a fee?

I agree.
After posting this thread I called a mobile moto mechanic in Dallas to inquire and he didn’t have good things to say about Mint.
Their Yelp reviews are mixed, some like Mint and others hate them.

What are the complaints, are they on the service side, sales or both? Since all you're doing is buying the bike from them and as long as they sell the bike to you for a price you're comfortable with I'm not sure negative complaints matter in your situation unless they're engaged in shady business practices. I've seen dealerships charge ridicules fees that caused me to look elsewhere and I've had dealerships refuse to give me a out the door price which caused me to walk so if this business has those types of complaints I'd definitely look for a Busa someplace else.

I checked their reviews and to be honest I don't see any red flags, they have over 350 google reviews so I don't believe they're all bogus written by employees or friends. Every dealership or business is going to have a few bad reviews from someone that wasn't satisfied with their purchase and Mint seems to have mostly positive. Have you called the dealership and spoke with someone in sales? You can actually tell a lot just by talking to someone. I'd call and speak with someone in sales, get a written quote that lists the price of the bike, dealerships fees, taxes and the out the door price and if you're happy go for it.

Some of the reviews say Mint is great with 5 star reviews, then there are other 1 star reviews that say their bike stops running and Mint doesn’t return phone calls.

My problem is I’m in the SF Bay Area and can’t just pop in to see the bike.
There’s nothing close to their price and bling bling stuff on the bike here in CA.
I can fly out to see the bike, or have a mobile mechanic in Dallas check it out for me.
I ‘m tempted but think I’ll keep looking in CA

I think the mobile mechanic is a good idea or maybe ask a forum member to go check the bike out for you to see how it runs, handles if they can take a test ride and if there's some damage you can't see in pictures. You could also make an adventure out of traveling to Dallas, just find one or two other excuses to fly to Dallas so if the bike is a disappointment you at least enjoyed a weekend getaway.

I’m also looking at some bikes from All Things Chrome in TN.
Check out the custom Gen 3’s.
I can’t afford them but wow

Wow!
There's alot of nice used bikes on there, and at really good prices to be a dealer.
There's also two '99 copper Gen1's there too.
It looks like you could actually go there, spend $6k to $10k, and leave with a really good motorcycle...or spend a fortune, lol
But, it's nice to see all of that, thanks for posting it.

Ive purchased from Mint 5 stars all the way, ride here often to check out their new inventory all the time they sell clean bikes.

Thanks for the feedback, they have mixed reviews online so I appreciate hearing from a “real customer “ who has purchased a few bikes from them
