Anyone know what I can do?

So I am dealing with a highly inept mortgage company. We had just refinanced our home and signed the last bit of paperwork with Taylor, Bean and Whitaker when they got there stuff slammed in the door. We were transfered painfully over to Round Point Mortgage. I did almost all the work to make it happen. All the information they needed I gathered. Everything they said they were missing I obtained, and got to them.

My hope was to move the process along in a semi-mortgage company kind of-quick.

Fast forward three months and I still do not have the money in my restricted escrow account available for the windows I planned on having put in this summer. They have had all the information they needed since October 16. That's when I sent the last fax in. So I have been regularly calling and leaving tons of voice mails with so and so in charge of this or that. Basically getting the shuffle. Now I am fed up. I talked to the person in charge of the escrow department and was assured I would be called back the next day. That was Tuesday. It's now Thursday and 2 more voice mails later nothing.

To top it off, I called today and am talking to customer service about how a few specific people are not returning my calls (gave them names) and the first person transfers me to the voicemail of the person I am calling to complain about :banghead: and the second one "transfers" my call to the sweet sound of a hang up.

The third one finally got the point that I am now Irate! Unfortunately it's 2 mintues past quitting time and everyone has gone home except for a few customer service people :banghead:

So my question is, what can I do, or who can I contact to put some pressure on them and make something happen. This is a VA loan, so I am planning on calling them, but is there anything else I can do? Or is this one of those situations where the customer is just :moon: out?s

I need my windows and a beer. I don't care what order they come in, but I need them soon.

Where are their offices? If they are local go yell in person, im guess they are out of town or you would have done that. Post up the location, maybe a Org member can go put a face on your problem

OMG Bro, exact same thing happened recently with my mother. She was in the middle of her "refi" with Taylor, Bean, and Whittaker when the big siezure happened. they transfered all her stuff to some company down in Florida no-one has ever heard of. It tooks 5 months of a team effort of 4 of us calling them on a daily basis and just harrassing the mess out of them to get them to finally get everything done so my mom could get her money.

I am sorry you had to deal with that walker. I feel your pain.

This whole process is killing me. My stress level is through the roof. And no they aren't close to me. If they were yes I would have paid a face to face visit. The phone makes a great barrier to ignore customers.

I guess for now I spread the word and start contacting anyone I can think of who can make things suck for them.

Round Point Mortgage has repeatedly screwed me. Do not use them if you can help it. The customer service level they have presented to me is so sub-par it borders on negligence. They appear to have no concern other than going home on time, and if my issues are going to interfere with that they ignore them.

So if you have friends who are looking at purchasing or re-financing do them a favor and point them away from these guys.

I think the biggest thing I can do is make sure they understand that mistreating a customer has consequences. My next post will include an email address. If anyone is willing to let them know they will be spreading the word due to the poor service I have recieved I would appreciate it.

When you refi, most times you have no choice if they sell or in your case have to transfer your mortgage. I had a similar issue years ago on my house. Turns out as i did some digging there were alot of people in my same situation and there was a big lawsuit (class Action) in the works against the company. So i got in on that. I lost over $5000 in the deaing with that mortgage company and got 10% on the dollar back.
Do some searches on the net and see if anything is out here dealing with your issue. If not..contact one of those ambulance chasing law firms and run it by them. If a company doesnt want to get back to you, there usually is something fishing going on.
Good luck bro

Thanks Ace.

I feel this is more of a lack of customer service now. I did talk to someon this morning. Shortly after my last post I finally got a call back, so they may have some .Org members, and I got a little bit of progress.

I am still not satisfied at all with the results so far. I signed my loan paperwork right before TB&W got shut down. That was Early July. It's December and I still don't have my windows. All they can say is sorry... there has been a small mistake.... :moon: to them.

:moon: to Scar just because.

Once I have the paperwork in their hands and things rolling I am going to post an email for people to contact if they are willing. I want to remind these companies that they have to respect their customers, even if they think they are in control. I may be stuck with them for a little while, but I can still impact their entire customer base if pushed. And I have been more than pushed at this point.

So expect an email address in a couple of hours. For those of you with a distaste for customer service that is beyond terrible and some spare time if you would let them know it's not acceptable I would appreciate it.

I will also be letting them know through some more channels that I am still not happy.

And now on the advice of Acehole I am off to google

Good luck, my mortgage has changed companies so many times I can't keep up.

You could always send them some e-bombs. It will shut down their server for quite awhile. It is pretty funny when you get to see it happen to someone that opens an e-bomb.

sorry dude, that's mortgage companies for you, they say they are swamped with refinacing and modification and short sales! they don't have enough help and each time you talk to a different person, one dumber than the other one.it is very frustrating!.

I was thinking of just flooding them with emails about how they have mistreated a customer. I think it will get the point across without causing any serious reprocussions... Aside from them hating me, and I am well on the way to that already.
