I live in a tropical island where rust is a big problem. I hate the quality of the nuts and bolts that Suzuki's use. The quality is sub par compared to Yamaha and Honda and they are starting to oxidize really bad after living here for only a year. I'm thinking about bluing some parts that is oxidized. What do you guys think about this idea?

That is a bad idea. Dont do it. When you blu something it requires heat to do it and you will take the temper out of the metal. It will loose some of its strength.:rulez:

Im talking mostly about fairing screws. How does it make the metal weaker? Most rifles are blued to include the bolt carrier group and the barrel they don't blow up?

fairing bolts i wouldnt be so worried about. Blueing requires flame to heat the metal anytime you heat metal you take some of the strength out of it. Gun barrels are quite a bit thicker then bolts and screws. Also they are made of a different grade of metal then the bolts for our scooters are. You would be better of anadizing them thean blueing
