I got one of these and I liked it, but now it has stopped working. I think that the shift module has gone bad. Only used it a year. I think that it may have went bad due to where it was mounted under the seat. The part that bothers me is that it was installed per the instuctions that came with it. That's not cool. Anyone else using one of these?

Do you mean the shift kill box went bad....if so I have a MPS shift box unit that should work. All you need is the plug and play harness. Did your kill box work off a (ground) activation?

The engine kill seems to be good. A friend checked power at different connections and determined that the kill was ok, and that the shift module was not sending out a signal.

Ok..try Pingel directly. You may be suprised with their customer service. Speak to Donna if you fall of deaf ears.

MY KILL WENT OUT AFTER 2 YEARS.Before I replaced it I sent it 2 them 2 test +make shure that was it.What does it do when you try shift it anything??your battery is good ???

Battery is good. When you hit the button, nothing happens. My friend checked it and we are not getting a signal from the shift module. So they worked well with you? That's good to know.

Going on 3 years here,without missing a beat.I use it 99% of the time:thumbsup:

I have one also, been having it about a year now. I had one problem with it and it was my fault. The positive connection wire wasn breaking at the terminal and it wasn't getting the proper voltage/ohms to operate. Fixed the connection and it worked like a charm.

No down shift either. I called Pingel and I'm am planning to send the module back for them to check out. Replacement is $180+. Replacement will probably have to wait. Funds need to go to other parts first.
