I had of with the bike but putting the stock bar ends back on. But I have a gap on the throttle side. Is that suppose to be there. Or do I leave the friction sleeve on?
You have to remove the friction sleeve. If you leave it on, your throttle will be locked in place when you tighten the stock bar ends. Not sure about the gap though... I took my Throttlemeister off yesterday, and it did not leave a gap.
The friction sleeve is for the throttle meister only. I don't remember if there was a gap on the factory bar ends? Let me look thru some pics and see if I can find one. Mine is a GenII not sure if they are the same?
Blow some compressed air under your stock grip. At same time, stretch or pull it out towards the end of the grip. It'll be very flexible & will stretch to clean up the look.
The sleeve is needed to make those throttlemeisters work.
