Looking for a new helmet.Always heard Arai was one of the best. What do you like about each one? Which one is real quiet.Do you think there is 130 dollars differance?

i have the rx7/4. it is very vented, which is great for arizona. but the venting makes it a bit noisy. i'll take the noise with the vents anyday. what ever you choose, try them all on before you buy!!!! one size is not the same thru brands.

Neither are very quiet, but i would not trade
my Arai for any other helmet.Either one would
do you right,i would go with the Quantum and
wear ear plugs to cutt down on the wind noise

I used to use the Quantum/E, very similar to the Quantum/F. This year, I upgraded to the RX. The RX is lighter, and the venting is much better (especiialy here in Texas). The trade off is wind noise. The RX is significantly louder than the Quantum. However, this is nothing a set of earplugs can't resolve.

I did not try Quantum F it should be fine,nevertheless,RR4 has a great vent
system and very comtortable.
For long trips I use earplugs anyway.
Ease of changing visor in the new model
is a plus.

jonney 99' i have a quantam. i am getting an ARAI rx7r soon. they have a website. they also claim their pros use the rx that we buy and not a diff helmet specially for them.

everyone should check out the www.helmetshop.com!! i can get a rx7 grey with the irridium face shield for $500. or so. that is a lot cheaper than at any store around me in MI.
