Are some tire companies not as advanced?

MotoGP uses Bridgestone, AMA uses Dunlop, and WSBK uses Pirelli. Michelin is racing on FIM Endurance Racing? or something. Are these the only tire companies actually advancing and using racing to develop their technology? I'm sure I missed something, But AMA, MotoGP, and WSBK seem to be the big ones.

Michelin Power Races | Tires

Have any of you ran the Michelin Power Race DOT tires on the Road. I did not know how they would do warming up on the street versus on the track.
