Just wondering if the 08 busa steels and fibers are interchangeable. Also are the 08 busas and 1ks interchangeable. From what ive seen crossing part numbers they are.

I don't know about the 1Ks but I don't think so.

07 to 08 the fibers are the same size but improvements were supposed to have been made to the friction material. The steels are the same.

so if I have to replace my clutch I should just go with 08'?

Not 100% sure, but that is what my next one will be! :;):

IIRC... Friction plates, Springs, bolts, and drive pins are different. Everything else has the same part number.

So yes, the plates can be exchanged from year to year. The part numbers are not different because they won't fit. They are different because of the fiber material.

However, this could affect the stack height.

They are the same thickness. At least that is what is showing when I compared the service manuals.

Yeah, the biggest reason i asked is because they had 07s clutchs in stock so it makes the wait alot shorter !
