I have been screwing around with my undertail and hugger install ALL DAY! I guess you get what you pay for.
Undertail.
It looked nice. Great paint, nice finish. Perfect match. After all of the hacking and cutting of the stock unit, I get the new one up there and it's a horrible fit. None of the holes line up properly and the whole thing is cupped a little more than it should be, so I'm doing a lot of bending and twisting to get it in there. Forget about using the stock fasteners. The fit is so bad that I had to go out and get some SS screws, washers and nuts. I had to glue nuts to the inside of the undertail where the two middle fasteners go because you can't reach them when the undertail is in position.
Hugger.
Carbon Fiber. Great look. Problem is that it only has fastening points on the chain side and those holes are really off the mark. No problem. Enlarge the holes, tighten it down. Now I can tell that the whole piece is really warped. It is way off. The right side isn't even on the swing arm strut. It's up and out with no fastening points. I don't want to drill the swing arm for screws to bring it in, so I figure that I'll use some automotive double-sided trim tape (the black stuff) and some zip-ties to try to bring that sucker back into square.
I've posted pictures of these items before, but I'll do it again so that you can avoid them if you see them on Ebay.
