Asymetric

Hi,

I've recently bought a new-to-me busa. '04 model, yoshi tri-ovals, 4000kms on clock.

I bought a set of frame-sliders to protect the fairing against my own stupidity (dropping it on the drive way, for example). But, now that they're fitted, one of them is higher than the other.

They've been fitted near a bolt on the fairing (closest to rider's knee), one side is about 10mm lower than the other. And, although it may not be related, when I look at the bike from behind one exhaust is raised slightly higher than the other.

As far as I can tell, there's only one place on the frame where these sliders can go. So, to poke out of the fairing at different heights the frame must be bent? Right?

Or, am I just being paranoid?

Any guidance from those more experienced than myself would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Bryan

Just paranoid in my opinion. The bike is not symmetrical. The frame is, but that's about it. If you pull off the fairings you will see differences from one side to the other.

I don't know about the sliders, but I've seen slip-ons on other Busas that are at different heights. I don't know if they are cheap cans or if they weren't installed correctly. In either case, I know the bikes were never dropped.

My stock exhausts aren't symetrical, and neither are my sliders.

I like that, it adds character to the already quirky 'Busa.

Doesn't stop it from going fast enough to travel through time though...

Post pics for us to see, but the bike is not symmetrical.
