My Zx-9 had a Hindle pipe, lowered, 15 tooth front sprocket, and dynojet jet kit. Best was 9.79 @ 140mph. Most bike will go 9s. The only ones that can't are 600s and they are pretty close now, i.e, record is 10.07 in 600SS. R1s are a little faster than ZX-9s in my opinion, I had one that went 9.74 @ 142mph. I never ran my busa with a stock pipe to answer your other question.

ET is all in the rider and set-up (i.e, 60's 330's, rider weight, gearing, suspension, jetting, friction reducing), not in your horsepower or swingarm. Although swingarms and motor mods don't hurt.

Smart racers are fast racers, look at Brock Davidson! I bet Brock could make a scooter go 9's. The man has the most innovative mind in the sport and I would love to know as much as he does. Plus he has the all riding talent in the world.

i saw your post on the youngr riders . what did you do to the zx-9 to get it running that fast. any engine work? the fastest ive seen at the track was 10. 03s! that was 8" over swingarm, lowered , jetted on dyno , piped , etc. usually no one i know breaks past 10s without serious work. i wanted to get one of those before bus. came out. what was the fastest you ran with stock bus? and could you give me a hint on what you have done to your bike? are you from mi?
