might be as simple as wiring the shift light output to the Air shift input

I honestly have never done it
a few buddies have and they had issues if the bike spun it would bang a shift, and spin more, bang a shift,

a raptor shift light can do auto-shift at redline... but a good quality air shifter kit and a steady air supply are required for the air shifting part of it... probably a good idea to have the option to use the horn button to shift the bike though.... setup is crucial, because yes... if ya spin and tag redline... the raptor autoshift does its job and shifts the bike. Ive never trusted it... i always use the horn button. never failed.
