Click here to listen to the stylings of Tommy Emmanuel.

It's really rather rare that I'm left speechless by a musician. This is one of those times.

Thanks! added a nice touch to browsing new posts this morning. Satriani for a little quicker pace.

Excellent! Thanks for the link.
Purdy damn impressive

Fretkillr' not to bad either, while lacking the technical virtuosity of Tommy Emmanuel (tommy's in another league) for a self trained musician playing his own, by ear arrangements he packs a lot of feeling between the notes.

If you know what I mean.

I agree whole-heartedly agree, I've listened to him for quite a while now.  Another of that genre is Michael Hedges he was of equal caliber, however he is no longer with us.

Keep looking and listening, I've been playing on and off since 1980, but I've been listening a lot longer and I still discover new stuff all the time, even in older guitarists.

Saw him open for Iron Maiden back in the day and we weren't there for Maiden. Was a huge fan back then, have his albums but have not listened to them in a while. i do recall the term "god" being linked in the fan circles.

This thread reminds me of the Cliff Burton days in a little place in Brooklyn called Lamours. oh to be young again.......
