CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE SIZE OF THE AXEL WRENCH IT TAKES TO TAKE OFF THE FRONT TIRE? I KNOW ITS IN MM.

there should be a tool in your tool kit under the hump.. i think it also says what size..

i'm not positive about that last part though and I'm at work so I can't check

I've seen some people use a long bolt, and then find three bolts that are (whatever the size is - 22 or 24?), and put them on the bolt.

There's also somebody on eBay selling a piece of machined aluminum that'll do the same thing.

If you have an '02 or later model Busa there is no tool to remove the front axle. I made my own tool by using one of the large size allen wrenches (18mm I think...) and welding a 22mm nut to the end of it. It works great and can be stored inside the tool bag in the hump.

Or was it a 24mm nut?

I can never remember, but it's either one of the two.

Get a 16mm bolt and two 16mm nuts from Lowes, about $4 total. The 16mm equals a 24mm head size which is exactly what you need. Tighten the two nuts down onto the bolt with some locktite and your done.

Its a 24 mm allen on 02 and newer.I did the same thing as those other guys but I used a bolt and nut that had 15/16 heads. I have now bought 22 and 24 mm allen sockets from snap on. Check out Veltunes site Tom has pictures and info about how to make the nut and bolt tool.
