Just saw this on MCN. 181.5hp (crank most likely). Woo Hoo so much for that "tuned for Midrange" stuff.

To put that into perspective our Gen 1 Hayabusa's were reported to make around 175hp (give or take a few) at the crank! That thing ought to be damn impressive!(rocktober @ Jul. 31 2007,18:45) isn't that the busa motor , if so i thought it was 198 at the crank
why would they do that and eclipse the busa in power. For marketing reasons they would never do that. The busa already has such a huge following and aftermarket parts market that doing that would probably dent sales in a big way.(DaCol. @ Jul. 31 2007,11:15) But they still LEFT off the Supercharger it had in the beginning
Now, a B-King at 195 + HP and a Supercharger! WooW , that would be some kind of bike
Sounds like a new Ghostrider video in the making!(fstbusa @ Aug. 01 2007,03:55)why would they do that and eclipse the busa in power. For marketing reasons they would never do that. I agree though.... that would be badass!!!
Not really the same bike, infact I would probably (90% probably) buy one. A B-King with a supercharger would be a Cruising Stand on your HEAD KING ! Busa would still be my riding/touring KING(fstbusa @ Aug. 01 2007,03:55)why would they do that and eclipse the busa in power. For marketing reasons they would never do that. But it has different (smaller) Throttle bodies and exhaust system to the Busa. Interestingly enough Suzuki says it has a power valve (Suzuki Exhaust Tuning (SET) valve) in the exhaust!(Over_Easy @ Aug. 01 2007,09:49) In the 08' Busa release article in MC they stated that the B-King will NOT be a de-tuned version, but the same Busa engine.
Not without the SuperCharger(Kento-Moto @ Aug. 01 2007,09:30) Would anyone here buy this bike?
Thats with ram air effect included.....the ZX-14 is 197 with ram air. Thats just another way to get bigger numbers for sales(rocktober @ Jul. 31 2007,18:45) isn't that the busa motor , if so i thought it was 198 at the crank
Yeah me....I'm a puke'r (where's that hurl icon)(Rainer3012 @ Aug. 01 2007,07:26) I really like the looks of the b-king, but its subjective, had friends that want to puke at the sight of it.
Yep the newer bikes seem like they're starting to get a little freaky looking(Justyntym @ Aug. 01 2007,15:45)Yeah me....I'm a puke'r (where's that hurl icon)(Rainer3012 @ Aug. 01 2007,07:26) I really like the looks of the b-king, but its subjective, had friends that want to puke at the sight of it.
