Back Off Wig Wag

My son bought a back off module and wants to install it in the wig-wag mode.

Where is the best place to access the harness and locate the module?

Anyone done it, possibly with pictures?

Before you begin…make sure your brake lights are working properly!

Locate "brake light wires" (can usually be located under seat).

Cut and splice Module into brake light wires (as shown in the schematic below). Secure "Red Wire" from Module to wire leading from "Brake Light Switch". Secure "Left" and "Right" wires leading to the Left and Right brake lights.

Connect "Black Wire" to Ground.

Secure Wig Wag Module with double-sided adhesive tape.


And when you are done, it should look like this

yes, it is animated.



They flash left, right, left, right, left, right....both flash together 4 times....then they stay on.

Welcome. That is the brake lights that flash also...incase you didn't know.

What color are the brake light wires?

Those are the colors from the module, I mean the wires on the bike.

I know its been a while since I started this thread but we are just now getting to this. First off when it comes to wiring I am a moron, I admit it.  

Learjett could you tell me what color wires from the bike attach to which color from the module? This will be a big help.

Got it wired up, works great, really noticeable from behind.
