Back tire wear

Ok, so I jump on my bike pissed off tonight.. in a bad mood just need to clear my fricken head. take off, nothing special, go to this one park and drive out in the middle of it and figure I will just sit there and veg, fricken sprinklers come on (not close to me so I didn't get wet, but figured if I didn't move I was going to.

So I take off, out for a ride to clear my head because I am already pissed and now I cannot even veg in peace. I go down the street, rap it out in first and pop it into second, back to fish tales back and forth like 3 times.

The first time I did it was last week.

Is it normal to be able to break the back tire loose in second gear? I mean I figure there are two options here, either I am getting better and more bold at riding the bike, or my back tire is in need of replacing..

The tire is the stock tire that came with the bike and currently has 3300 miles on it.

No burn outs with it. just typical street driving with some cornering.

It looks like the tread is still healthy… But I have heard numerous times that 4000 miles is about it for tires. And even if I think the tire still looks ok, I am thinking I am breaking it lose to easy.

Any comments?

possible dude i was just cruising on 95 at 60 back in feb and the rear wheel(with plenty of tread) broke loose fishtailed and shot me off about 30 feet

If your tires are cold then yes it will come around and bite you hard.

Yeah, the cold tires make sense. It was cold out and the bike wasnt on the road more than 5 minutes total

Definitely cold tires. This has happened to me several times when the back is not warmed up yet, kinda freaks you out...

Bridgestone's tend to drop off the grip scale quite a bit after they pass the 3/4 wear mark and cold tire will spin absolutely...

Be easier to help you out if you posted some pics of the tire

For other bike manufactures (I.E. Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, etc..) second gear burnouts are listed in the owners manual as an "Anomaly".......
For Busa owners this awesome display of power is also noted in the owners manual next to the section titled "Surgeon Generals Warning: May be Habit Forming"

You could be geeting down on the rubber also. Check your wear bars close.

Also never get on the bike pissed!! Last time i did that I was clocked at 140mph going ver the CT. border. I was lucky that the Trooper was a rider and liked the bike. man they could have thrown my azz in jail. After that little episode, I never get on the bike pissed
